Bao Mu comes to our house every Monday, from 9am - 2pm! She's the best! She helps with the never-ending fight to keep the apartment clean and teaches Rachel how to cook a Chinese lunch. She doesn't speak a lick of English, so Rach gets awesome Chinese practice.
Throughout the morning and as we eat lunch, Rachel and Bao Mu mutually encourage one another. When Titus was sick, Bao Mu was interceding for him all morning long. Since Bao Mu's husband is not like-minded (very painful for her), Rach showed Bao Mu the Chinese text of Peter's first letter:
Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct.
Today Rachel and Bao Mu listened to the music of Heidi Holt as they cooked, Rachel translating the meaning of the songs.
Bao Mu loves to play with Titus! We hear her singing believer's songs to him, and our hearts gush with happiness. Needless to say, Bao Mu is a blessing, and we love Mondays because of her.
By the way, isn't Titus looking more and more like a little boy?
