Fast Train to Wuhan

About a week ago, we took the world's fastest train to visit cousin Katie and friends Emily & Jesse in Wuhan (the capital of the province to the north of where we live). I, Drew, have really been wanting to take the fast train ever since it started operating in December. The experience met my expectations. We traveled 218 miles in just over an hour, a distance similar of that from New York to Washington. For technical details, you can check out the Wikipedia article by clicking here.

Getting there was fun, but being with friends was awesome. We had dinner with my cousin Katie, who was spending the week in Wuhan, and our great friends Jesse and Emily who live, work and study there.

We finished up our whirlwind trip by taking the slow train back ($8 ticket instead of the $25 for the fast train), wrapping up our nice little family overnight trip.
