Light and Shadow

life is full
of light and shadow

oh the joy
and oh the sorrow

oh the sorrow

yet will he bring dark to light

yet will be bring day from night

when shadows fall on us

we will not fear
we will remember

when darkness falls on us

we will not fear
we will remember

when all seems lost
when we're thrown and we're tossed
we'll remember the cost

we're resting in the shadow of the cross

lyrics by David Crowder, Shadows

counting the graces
thank you Father for
Numbers 9 -- though in many regards they did badly, as you led with a cloud, they immediately broke camp and followed close
kids love playing in the natural light of the sunporch, today with Titus' best friend, a kind kid named Zhao Zixuan
freshness and rains recently
Drew came home last night, put the boys to bed with a story, gave me a massage, said his favorite time of day is waking up in the morning in our embrace
Natalie is healed and can go home; her mother is so strong!
rejoicing because sister is eager to return home and resume school
this pinkeye is only viral so it will clear up faster
good understanding, communication and boundaries with parents
Titus and I found fresh-cut bright pink lilies in the trash, brought them home and made our dining table bright
