On the First of March

I'm in Suzhou, near Shanghai, with Jonathon. Drew, Titus and Mike are home in Changsha. You probably already knew that from other mass communication. These boys are calling on skype to wish their mother a happy twenty-seventh birthday! On this occasion, I was rolling around the idea of blogging a thorough self-disclosing personal introspection, heavy on self-criticisms, and set a few lofty goals for the next year.

But instead I'm going to tell you that year 27 is the year I wear lipstick. I think so.
27...It's basically just like turning seventeen, plus ten years. I even have the same boyfriend. Plus three of his babies.

If you hadn't read already, Jon and I have traveled 600 miles to see a surgeon. Jonathon's brain may again need treatment, we don't know yet. After we meet with the surgeon tomorrow I'll have concrete information, which I will relay to you right here at this world-famous blog Chinese Neighbors. Jonathon is well, his usual cheery self, and feeling pretty special having my undivided attention.

Thanks everybody for your words of support and cheer for Jon. We feel you're right alongside us wanting the best for our little boy.
