Yesterday afternoon we Sunday school teachers met for a training and planning session lead by Ms. Sun, an experienced teacher originally from Taiwan. Since most of us a 1st generation believers, all come with a blank slate -- What is Sunday school? What's the purpose? What's the function? What's the goal? These were all things we discussed in our black-boarding session.
It was FANTASTIC.
Active idea-sharing, raising of concerns and definite answers to questions. Our team is relationally stronger, roles are understood and there is a unified vision. Yes!
Drew and I also spent part of the morning renovating our classroom -- new cabinets, bulletin boards, rearranging the desks and orientation of the room, organizing supplies. I'm excited about how the physical changes will improve the atmosphere of the class. I'm even more pumped because one of the girls in the photo above (third from the left, at back) is hopefully going to be our teaching partner. She's going to bring so much value and heart-connection-capability.
Spunky kids who were present yesterday.
Thank you for praying.
God has changed my heart.
These young people have become very important to me.
AND
Last week I wrote about Auntie Wang. Since then, something hurtful happened in her life and she's been upset. For years she has persevered through a wearying situation, and now needs even more strength, trust and inextinguishable joy to press on. Can you pray for her today?

Lifting her up. It's the national day of lifting up here, so it's so appropriate and timely to spend some time kneeling for you and Auntie Wang.
