Bridge and Groom entered from opposite ends of the catwalk set in the middle of the ballroom, meeting in a magical cube that even drizzled rain around it's perimeter as they stood to exchange vows, rings, and kiss in the aura of colored lights and disco ball! Somebody brought us to front-row seats, so mesmerized Titus and Mike had a clear view of the show.
Bridge and Groom both work, and in fact met, at the same company where Drew works. Office wedding! There were a bunch of folks from the company. A chance to connect with coworkers outside the office is always a fun time, a chance to ease some office tensions, strengthen trust and camaraderie and get to know people personally.
Toast and a drink with the bride & groom.
Crouching Tiger.
Leaping Dragon.
Bridge changes into traditional red. During the extravagant dinner the couple makes their way to every circular table in the ballroom, toasting each table. I like that tradition.
Crew of guests from the office.
What wasn't served? Pork, chicken, fish, shrimp, turtle, sausage, dried beef, bamboo shoots, mushroom, some kind of preserved salted plant, greens, tiny cakes, fruit platter. Yeah, really good.
Yeah! The boys were awesome sports.
Drew made new acquaintances at our table.
Co-workers!
The boss man! His wife in black, the bride in red.
Father and mother of the bride.
One little bloop.
Drew thought the wedding was on Saturday, so we hired a driver, put on our best frocks and made the 1-hour drive out to the bride's hometown, Ningxiang. Upon arriving at the hotel it was discovered by Drew that we were a day early. Whoopsies!
So we drove home. And came back the following day. No worries. ;)
